Google has announced the next Android version, "The Android M"
on Google I/O last week and also released a developer preview image of Android M.
The Android M is going to be a polishing version of Android Lollipop. But wait! Upon installing the developer preview of the Android M, you will see a difference in the app drawer. Google has gone with a vertical app drawer instead of it's regular horizontal app drawer. Now you have to scroll vertically to browse your apps.
Unlike the "Google Now" launcher, the "Google Now" feature have to be activated through settings on Android M. You will no longer find the Google Now at the left of your home screen.
The app drawer now arranges the apps in alphabetic order. However you can't jump according to the alphabets. You have to scroll downward to find your desired app. Google has also add a search bar and a recent app bar at the top of the launcher. On Android M latest alpps will show up according to your use which is quite handy.
So lets wait for the full version of Android M and see if Google change the current launcher or not....

Great news for Huawei Ascend Mate 2 owners. When the Huawei Ascend mate 2 was first released, Huawei Announced that the Ascend Mate 2 will not get the Android Kitkat update. However at the last of 2014, Huawei announced that the Ascend Mate 2 will get the Android L update at the middle of 2015. So now Huawei is inviting Ascend Mate 2 owners to register on their site if they want to test the Android L on their Ascend Maye 2.
Here is the announcement from Huawei: " Huawei will invite an initial group of Mate2 owners for this first stage of testing and then gradually expand the program as we get closer to the broader launch next month. We will continue to enhance the software, even after the initial version is made available, to deliver the best experience to you, our customers. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work on the Android L update for Mate2. "
AT&T has announced that the new LG G4 will be open to pre-order from May 29 and will come to local stores for sell on June 5. AT&T will start taking pre-orders for the LG G4 on May 29 from 12.01 a.m Eastern time.
Here is the announcement from AT&T: "Customers can purchase the Metallic Gray version of the G4 for $0 down on AT&T Next at $21.00 at 30 payments on AT&T Next 24, $26.25 at 24 payments on Next 18, or $31.50 at 20 payments on Next 12. The smartphone will also be available for $199.99 with a two-year agreement, or $629.99 with no commitment. The Genuine Black leather version of the G4 will also be available on AT&T Next for $22.34 per month on Next 24, $27.92 per month on Next 18, or $33.50 per month with Next 12. Customers who will buy the LG G4 from AT&T's website will get the option to add LG G Pad F 8 for only $0.99 with a two year agreement. The LG G Pad F 8 will cost $149.99 without agreement.

After posting the teaser picture of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man edition, the company has finally releasing the Iron Man edition in South Korea for sale from May 27.
Samsung will release 1000 devices for sale tomorrow. The company mentioned that the limited edition phone will be available on China and Hong Kong next month. However the company hasn't mentioned when the device will be available on US.
The device comes with a box which is designed with Iron Man's faceplate. Iron Man's faceplate is also engraved on the back of the device. The device comes with red color with gold accents all around it. A wireless charger is also provided which is designed like an Arc Reactor seen at the body of Iron Man....
Sony has launched the dual sim varient of Xperia M4 Aqua in India this week. At mobile world congress the device was unveiled.
Xperia M4 Aqua dual is IP68 certified which means it is dust and water resistent.
The device comes with a 5-inch Quad Hd display with a resolution of 1080×720p. It comes with a Octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset clocked at 1.5Ghz which is 64 bit enabled. It has 2GB of RAM with 16 GB of internal storage. It offers microSD card expansion upto 64GB. A 5MP front shooter and a 13 MP rear camera are provided for nice camera experience. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC. 2400MAh battery is powering it. It comes with Android Lollipop out of the box. White, Black and Coral colors are available. The single sim varient might not be introduced in India.
Samsung has posted a teaser photo of the Iron Man edition of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge at the begining of this month at their official Samsung Facebook fan page.
Now Samsung has announced at their fan page that the edition will be available for sell from next week. They will also be introducing the limited edition of Marvel-themed accessories for the device including different case for the Galaxy Note 4.

Xiaomi is offering open sale for Xiaomi Mi 4i in India via Flipkart. Now you can buy a Mi 4i without any registration! But the offer will continue only for 2 days, May 25 and 26.
Since Xiaomi was launched in India, this is the first time the company is offering open sale.
The Mi 4i will cost around Rs. 12,999 ($205). The smartphone comes with a 5-inch full HD display, octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The phone also sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, FM Radio and a large 3120mAh battery. The Mi 4i runs on MIUI 6.0 which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Android Lollipop was released on October last year. The Google Nexus 6 was the first to get that update. However according to Google about 9% of android devices are running on Android L now. Android One devices were the second to get the Android L update and we haven't listed any android one devices.

On a press release LG has officially announced that their new flagship watch which is mostly know as "Watch Urbane" will be available on Google Store for 13 countries by the end of this month.

LG also said that the price will be announced when it is available for sell on Google Store. But we are hoping that it will get a tag price of $350 as its predecessor, the G Watch R was tagged at $300. But the steel and rose gold finishes might be differently priced.
When it come to hardware and the design, the LG Watch Urbane and the LG Watch R seems almost similar though LG has claimed that they have reduced the size of the circular bezel. If we keep aside the size of the circular bezel, case and stripe materials, everything else are the same. The hardware used are: Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.3" P-OLED display, 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, and a 410mAh battery which were used on its predecessor, the G Watch R also.
Though the hardware are same with the LG Watch R, the Watch urbane will come with 2 new features: LG Call & LG Pulse. The LG call will show you your favorite contacts and the most recent calls and you can directly call from your watch. Quite handy! Isn't it? LG Pulse will measure your heart rate/pulse every second. Hopefully the LG Watch Urbane will come with Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box....

Using Nexus 9 tablet and becoming board with its stock android layout? After the slate’s debut last November, an offical CyanogenMod 12 Rom is available for Nexus 9 tablet for the first time. On Friday Corning officially announced the "Project Phire"- a project to develop more scratch resistant glass than Gorilla Glass.
The company announced the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 few days ago (In November), and the company already started working to develop and provide more stronger and tougher glass than the Gorilla Glass 4! A rumor is spread all over the world that Apple is going to launch an iPad Air Plus or something similar next year. HTC one M8 and M7, the Google play versions will get their Lollipop update on Monday. The Taiwanese company said that the update will be made available for the customers as soon as Google approves that.
HTC's vice President of Product management Mo Versi confirmed that the update will be released on Monday. The update was confirmed on November 14 before. The confirmation was published from his Twitter account. First he twitted that the update will be available on November 14, then he again twitted saying that the update has been delayed because of Google approval was delayed and the update may be released on November 21.
On November 21 there was no sign of releasing update. Versi said that they were still awaiting Google's approval.
Versi twitted this week that the final SW for HTC one M7 and M8 are in Google's quality assurance lab and the SW may be released by the end of Monday.
Bear in mind that the update will only be available for the Google Play versions. So if you own a non Google play version, you may have to wait for a little bit longer.
