Problem type:
- Shows connection error when you try to open Google play store or download something.
- Sometimes shows time out if you tap on download button.
- Suddenly shows connection time out when downloading an application from Play Store.
- This type of problems generally occurs after rooting android devices.
- Root permission based applications also causes this problems in many cases.
Method 1:
- First download Root explorer from the following links:
Download Links: Link 1 | Link 2 | Link 3 - After downloading the app install it and open the app. Allow root permission for the app.
- Now using root explorer find the root directory of you phone and find the folder labeled "etc".
- Now find a file named "Host file".
- Tap and hold on that file and select open in text editor.
Note: Please back up the host file before making any change. - Now delete the line "127.0.0.1 localhost" from the host file and save it.
Note: Don't touch any other line or make any change. - Now open Google Play Store and download with freedom. No error message will appear now.
Android users who uses "Freedom" app might face the same issues. Method 1 might not be applicable for those. So if you are "Freedom" app user then try following the below instruction:
- First connect your device to Internet.
- Now open Freedom and close it after running for 1 minute.
- Now tap on Google play store and download your desired app. No error message should be displayed.
