Here is how to install Android Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy S4.

Samsung has released the Lollipop update for the GS-4 2 weeks ago in Russia. The international update will be on the air soon. But still if you want you can install the Android 5.0.1 which is named Lollipop on you Galaxy S4. To do so follow all the instructions below:
1. Update and install Lollipop 5.0.1 using kies in Samsung Galaxy S4:
    Its the easiest method to update your Samsung Galaxy S4 and get the latest android version. Download the latest Kies from the official site. To download click here. After downloading kies install it in your pc and connect your phone via USB cable. Run Kies in your pc. It should automatically notify you that you Galaxy has an update (if connected with Internet). Then follow the steps shown by kies to start the update process. If kies don't show the update then follow the next method shown below.

2. Flash using oDin:
    Note: If you are using a phone with contract then we recommend not to follow this steps. However it may still work but it's only recommended for the international versions.
   
To start the update process first download all the required softwares and files listed below:
Make sure you have fully charged your phone before the process, enabled the USB debugging (Settings > Developer Options) and backed up all the necessary files.

Here is how to install Android Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy S4.


Instruction for installing Lollipop on Galaxy S4:
  • First unzip/extract the downloaded firmware on your pc.
  • Open the Odin and lauch it. (You don't have to install it. It's download and play type.)
  • Press Volume Down + Power + Home button all together to boot your Samsung Galaxy S4 in download mode.
  • Now connect your device using USB cable with your pc.
  • You will see a blue box next to ID:COM in Odin which means Odin has recognized your phone.
  • Now only check the Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time boxes in Odin.
  • Now find AP button and click on it.
  • Show the tar.md5 file from the extracted folder in your pc and then hit start.
  • Wait for the process to finish.
    Note: Do not disconnect your device during process. This might brick your phone.
  • A green pass box will apear if successful.
  • Once your Galaxy S4 boots up you will find it's running on the latest Android Lollipop!
